Larian’s Baldurs Gate 3 continues to be a gift to players! The long-awaited cross-play feature is arriving with Patch 8. Soon, PC players can team up with their console-playing friends. But that’s not all—the update also brings a fantastic new photo mode and 12 exciting new subclasses to help you battle the Absolute.
With cross-play, inviting your friends to a multiplayer lobby will be seamless, no matter the platform. Plus, you can discover other multiplayer lobbies with friends using the Larian Network.
The new subclasses include some favourites from Dungeons and Dragons and unique ones homebrewed for the game, like the Drunken Master. For full details on each class, check out the Steam page, but here’s a sneak peek:

- Barbarian – Path of Giants
- Cleric – Death Domain
- Druid – Circle of Stars
- Paladin – Oath of the Crown

- Sorcerer – Shadow Magic
- Warlock – Hexblade

And don’t miss out on the all-new Photo Mode, offering tons of options to customize and edit your in-game photos. Capture your adventures, battles, dialogues, or even cinematic scenes with ease. Add frames, stickers, emojis, icons, and more—over 300 options to make your pics perfect.

Larian has confirmed that while the major updates for Baldur’s Gate 3 are wrapping up, this isn’t the end for mod tools. There are still big updates coming, enhancing your ability to create and share your own stories.
