Steam Next Fest is a week-long celebration of upcoming games on Steam this October 2023. It’s a chance for players to try out hundreds of demos for free, chat with developers, and learn about the latest and greatest games coming to Steam.

This year’s Next Fest is happening from October 9-16, 2023. There are over 700 games participating, from all sorts of genres, including action, adventure, RPG, strategy, and more.

Here are a few of the games you can expect to see at Next Fest:

  • ASURA THE STRIKER: A fast-paced action game where you play Asura, a god of war who must defeat the eight guardians of hell to save his wife and daughter.
  • TEVI: A puzzle platformer where you play as Tevi, a young girl who must use her unique abilities to navigate a dangerous world.
  • Spanky: A retro-style arcade game where you play as Spanky, a dog who must eat as much food as possible while avoiding obstacles.
  • Stronghold: Definitive Edition: A remastered version of the classic real-time strategy game Stronghold.
  • Looks Good: A surreal first-person horror game where you must explore a strange and twisted world.
  • Été: A narrative adventure game where you play as a young woman who must unravel the mystery of her grandmother’s death.
  • Mike’s Garden: A relaxing first-person puzzle game where you must help Mike restore his overgrown garden to its former glory.
  • An Action Roguelite for when you have 20 minutes to spare: A fast-paced roguelite game where you must battle your way through hordes of enemies in 20 minutes or less.
  • Checkmate Showdown: A competitive chess game where two players battle it out in real-time.
  • Chrono Hunter: A time travel adventure game where you must use your powers to change the past and save the future.
  • Detective Dotson: A detective noir game where you must solve a murder mystery.
  • Rolling Fur – A Cat Puzzle Adventure: A puzzle platformer where you play as a cat who must navigate a series of challenging levels.
  • Doggy Don’t Care: A physics-based puzzle game where you must help a dog reach its food bowl.
  • Below the Stone: A first-person adventure game where you must explore an ancient tomb and discover its secrets.
  • A Date with Death: A dating simulator where you date the personification of death.
  • Against Great Darkness: A turn-based RPG where you must lead a party of heroes on a quest to defeat a great evil.
  • A Webbing Journey: A puzzle platformer where you play as a spider who must use its webs to navigate a dangerous world.
  • The Last Exterminator: A first-person shooter where you must exterminate the last remaining bugs on Earth.
  • Relentless Frontier: A real-time strategy game where you must build and expand your empire while fending off enemies.
  • Love’s Crescendo: A romantic visual novel where you must choose between two different love interests.
  • Lose Ctrl: A puzzle platformer where you must use your unique abilities to navigate a series of challenging levels.

In addition to playing demos, you can also watch developer live streams and chat with developers during Next Fest. This is a great opportunity to learn more about the games you’re interested in and get feedback from the people making them.
