Hozy is a cozy home renovation sim developed by Come On Studio and published by tinyBuild, out now on PC and Mac on Steam. You play as someone who returns to their small hometown after things don’t work out in the city, and what starts as a quiet homecoming turns into a room-by-room restoration of a neighborhood that used to mean something. There are no timers, no scores, and no wrong choices. You just clean, paint, and put things back together at whatever pace feels right.

The renovation side of Hozy is handled through physics-based tools, a mop, a squeegee, a crowbar, and more, and the tactile quality of the cleaning mechanics is a big part of why it works. Wiping down a grimy window or peeling back old wallpaper feels satisfying in a way that’s hard to explain but easy to keep doing. Once a space is clean, you paint the walls and furnish the room using a curated selection of decor that’s been put together specifically for that location, so everything always looks like it belongs together regardless of how you arrange it.

The nine locations you restore, your parents’ home, an artist’s workshop, an old cafe full of memories, and more, each belong to someone, and the objects and details scattered around the room quietly tell you who that person was. You piece together their story through what they left behind, and returning a room to life feels like doing something for them specifically rather than just filling a space with furniture.
The soundtrack was composed by Yann Van Der Cruyssen, the same person behind the music for Stray, and it adjusts as you work, getting warmer and fuller the closer a room gets to feeling like home. A free demo is available on Steam right now with three levels to try before committing to the full game.
