New MLBB Map Changes 2026: Season 42 Update

The new MLBB map changes went live on September 28 (server time) as part of the 2026 Annual Map Change, which arrives shortly after Season 42 Starward Decade kicked off the 10th anniversary celebration for Mobile Legends: Bang Bang. This update brings three battlefield variants called the Healing Turtle, Golden Turret, and Revealing Wisps, and it also welcomes back the Flying Cloud with a fresh visual upgrade. Every variant nudges a match in its own direction, and you can read up on each one in the Battlefield Overview tab inside the game whenever you want a closer look.

New MLBB Map Changes

The active Map Change for your match is shown before hero selection, and you can pull up its info again while you pick your hero. That gives you and your team a chance to talk through a plan before the match starts, which is handy because a draft made for a lane-pushing map will probably look different from one made for a map that pays out extra gold for taking towers.

Healing Turtle

With the Healing Turtle active, slaying the Turtle no longer gives your team a shield, and an allied Turtle joins the match on the enemy’s strongest lane to help you push it. Allied heroes standing near this Turtle recover HP rapidly and also pick up Turtle companions that help knock down turrets, so staying close to it as it moves through the lane keeps your team healthy while the pressure builds on the enemy’s defenses.

Golden Turret

Golden Turret is all about tower gold, and any turret your team destroys now shares a much larger amount of gold with the entire team.

Inner and Base Turrets also come with extra HP, and the in-game overview shows Inner Turrets going from 5700 to 7200 HP and Base Turrets going from 7300 to 8300 HP.

Teams that push together and take those towers can build item leads noticeably faster than a team that hangs back, although the extra HP means each push needs a bit more time and coordination.

Revealing Wisps

Revealing Wisps adds Vision Wisps that you can pick up around the map, and each one circles your hero for several seconds after you grab it. When a hidden enemy hero is within a large range, the wisp flies over to their location and reveals them for a few seconds, which gives you a way to spot an ambush without having to face check a bush or a blind spot yourself.

Flying Cloud

The Flying Cloud returns with an upgraded art visual effect and the same purpose of helping your team get back into the action quickly. It works well for redeploying to a lane or a fight after you have fallen behind, so you spend less time walking and more time helping your team.

Planning Your Picks Around the New MLBB Map Changes

Since you can see the active Map Change during hero selection, it helps to bring it up with your team before anyone locks in a hero. A Healing Turtle match rewards a team that can secure the Turtle and move together with it, while a Golden Turret match gives extra value to a team that takes towers as a group and shares the gold that follows. In a Revealing Wisps match your team can grab wisps to check for hidden enemies before a fight, and with the Flying Cloud around you can think about how quickly everyone can rotate back to the action.
