The Am I Nima release date has moved to November 27, 2026, when HO! Games launches the psychological horror game on Steam. The studio pushed the game back from its original October 8 date to leave more time for polishing, testing, and bug fixing, and lead developer Jeremy Ho shared the change on September 5 along with new details about how much the full game has grown since its demo.
You play Nima, a girl who has lost all of her memories and is trapped in a basement by her mother. To escape, you pass your mother’s tests and convince her that you really are her daughter. Around the room you find words tied to objects such as a worn-out plushie, a locked drawer, and an old note, and you combine those words in Nima’s mind to unlock deeper meanings and buried memories. During the tests you use the words you have collected to direct the conversation, so the ones you choose change how Nima responds to her mom.

The full game has five environments with more than 300 inspectable objects, including multi-room locations such as a basement laundry area. Across five story chapters you face more than 15 main tests and seven optional hidden tests, with over 150 main and 600 optional dialogue choices that lead to 13 branching endings.

The new Am I Nima release date of November 27 applies to PC through Steam, and a free demo is available there now. HO! Games is a Vancouver-based indie studio made up primarily of Asian-Canadian developers, and Outersloth is its funding partner. The game was shown at the Story-Rich Showcase, where the October date was first announced, and at the Southeast Asian Games Showcase 2026. The demo gives you a first round of word combining before Nima’s mother starts testing you in the full game.
