The Cozy After Dark Showcase is an online video game showcase for games that mix cozy comfort with something strange, mysterious, or unsettling. Its first edition aired on October 12 on YouTube and Twitch with 52 games, including some that were shown as developer spotlights, and it was presented by the nonprofit Dames 4 Games, the indie publisher Draknek & Friends, and the creative agency Continue.

Along with the broadcast, the Cozy After Dark showcase started a Steam event that runs through October 19 and gathers the featured games, new and updated demos, and discounts, and it ends on the same day Steam Next Fest begins. The tables below sort all 52 games by whether they are out now, have a release date, have a release window, or have no date yet, and each one lists the platforms and whether a demo is available.

Cozy After Dark Showcase Release Dates and Playtests

These 12 games from the Cozy After Dark Showcase have a confirmed release day, from October 26 to March 9, 2027. The Whisker Watch has an open playtest instead of a release. These are the dates the developers announced, so Steam may show some of them one day later depending on your time zone.

10 Cozy After Dark Showcase Game Picks

With 52+ games to sort through, here are 10 picks from across the release schedule, and since some of them have a date while others only have a window or nothing announced yet, each entry covers what you do in the game and when it comes out.

Key art for 10 Cozy After Dark Showcase picks, from Gretel & Hansel to Hell Is Other People
Left to right, top to bottom: Gretel & Hansel, HINO, Waltz and Jam, Fangtopia, Deathly Delights, Apothecurse, Mutter, Ritual Party, In Full Bloom, and Hell Is Other People.
  1. Gretel & Hansel from Spider House is a remake of the Flash games Gretel & Hansel Part 1 and Part 2 by Mako Pudding. You play as Gretel and lead your brother home through a cursed forest, avoiding deadly traps, solving puzzles, and escaping a witch. The world is made from hundreds of original watercolor paintings, you use a slingshot to point and shoot, and the game has more than 50 animated deaths that can unlock treasures or open new paths. It has no release date yet and is listed for PC on Steam.
  2. HINO is a 2D dark fantasy adventure from UnGloomStudio, published by Toei Games. A girl named Hino and a white skeleton companion called Monimoni Skeleton travel through a shadowy world drawn in ballpoint pen by illustrator Yatara, looking for a safe place. You sneak, hide, run, and sometimes fight back against monsters and traps, and your choices decide which of the game’s many endings you reach. It is planned for PC in 2027.
  3. Waltz and Jam from Flyway Games follows Waltz, who wakes up with no memory in an afterlife called Downtown and has to collect seven stamps. A guide named Low and Waltz’s spirit puppy Jam help him along the way, and Jam can turn into forms like a bouncing Water Ball that crosses gaps. The seven worlds are inspired by the seven deadly sins, and you use toys left by legendary craftsmen to open paths and fight enemies. The game launches December 3 on PC, PS5, and Switch 2, and the Steam event page shows a demo available now.
  4. Fangtopia from Absolutely Games and Secret Mode is a tile puzzle where you put landscapes together to build a gentle paradise for friendly ghouls and ghosts. It launches October 26 on PC, PS5, and Switch 2, and a demo is available now.
  5. Deathly Delights from Strike Two Games takes place in a town stuck in Limbo during Hallows Eve. You make new friends, banish the darkness, and light up your surroundings as you uncover the truth behind the town. It launches November 7 on PC.
  6. Apothecurse from Lesser Key Studios is a hand-drawn 2D story adventure about Leon, a young alchemist who faces expulsion from his order and has to travel to Port Gelour, a plague-ridden city on the edge of revolution. You explore detailed levels, brew potions from ingredients you find, and use them to solve puzzles and fight cursed fish-man creatures, and minigames decide how strong each potion is. It has no release date yet and is listed for PC on Steam.
  7. Mutter from Deadlycrow Games is a stop-motion psychological horror adventure set in rural England while a character named Maddox has his father away at the front. A dark affliction slowly twists his mother into something monstrous, and you explore, solve puzzles, use a bicycle to reach new areas, and tend a garden and craft potions and food to keep both of you alive. The game is planned for PC in Q1 2027, and the developer released a Steam demo in December 2025.
  8. Ritual Party from Hologram Monster is a co-op horror party game for one to four players. You draw summoning circles, light candles, and make offerings to call up gods from the Cthulhu Mythos, while police, nearby residents, and supernatural forces try to get in your way. Each ritual fills a gauge, and the god arrives once it is full. The game launched in Early Access on Steam on February 17, 2026 with ten stages, and the developer plans to add more stages and ritual variations.
  9. In Full Bloom from Obleak Games is a Tamagotchi-style game with a Katamari twist. You help a small blob creature named Entithy grow by searching a sandpit and the areas around it for objects that fit its mouth. Feeding it unlocks new areas and foods, and it grows teeth and gets bigger. The game launches November 5 on Steam, and a demo is available.
  10. Hell Is Other People from Miss Self Destruct is a psychological horror point-and-click adventure about social anxiety. You play a little girl who is trying to fit into a society that pressures people to conform. Your tools are Ideas such as eye contact, humor, and flattery, which you collect and use in conversations, and three meters called Resilience, Trust, and Anxiety affect how you deal with other people. An Alter Ego follows you and comments on what happens, and its advice is not always worth trusting. It has no release date yet and is coming to PC through Steam.
